Temple Visiting Hours

TUESDAY to SUNDAY

Self-Guided Tour

how_09.jpgWhen you arrive at the House of Worship, you can first visit the temple itself.  On the path to the House of Worship, there is a shoe room.  Please deposit your shoes there.

After this you can proceed to go up to the main entrance and enter the Prayer Hall, which is a place for silent prayer and meditation for people of all religious backgrounds.

After exiting the Prayer Hall you’ll meet volunteers providing you with leaflets containing information about the Bahá’í Faith and the House of Worship, these are available in various Indian and foreign languages.

You may also ask the volunteers questions about the Bahá’í Faith and the temple and collect a free pass for our Information Center.

Afterwards you are welcome to visit our Library downstairs, have a look at the exhibition or collect your shoes again and go to the Information Center.

General Information

  1. how_13.jpgDuration of visit is ~ 30-40 min.
  2. Cameras, video cameras or mobile phones must not be used inside the Prayer Hall and the Information Centre.
  3. Lost and found department is located at the Main Office.
  4. Washrooms & drinking water facilities are accessible from the shoe room & from near the main gate.
  5. This is a smoke-free facility.
  6. Two wheelchairs are available at the Main Gate for those who may require them.

Prayer Services (~5 minutes)

Prayer services are held at 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm and 5:00pm in the Prayer Hall.  There is also a service at 6:00pm April through September.

At these times a few prayers from different religions are chanted or read out loud.

We kindly request you to not leave the Prayer Hall during this time, but wait until the prayers are over.

The Information Centre

info_centre.jpgThe Information Centre provides information on different facets of the Bahá'í Faith in the form of photo panels, written text and video display.

Furthermore you can get to know more about the construction and architecture of the temple.

The Centre also features short Bahá'í related films (about 25 minutes long) in English and Hindi.

To enter our Information Centre please collect a free pass at the Exit door of the Prayer Hall.

Since we can’t ensure the safety of children, there are no children under 12 years allowed to enter the Information Center.
On Saturdays and Sundays we have a special entry day. If you’re not part of the categories to have entry on these days, please come again Tuesdays to Fridays.

Optional Group Briefings

Coming in a group with 10 and more people you may approach our volunteers for an escort to the Conference Hall, where we give you a briefing for about 5 minutes.

You will then be directed to the Prayer Hall through a side path where you will have to remove your shoes.

If you are in a large group but do not wish to have a briefing, you are welcome to deposit your shoes on the side path leading to the Prayer Hall. Please have someone remain with your shoes.
